In the indie-games industry, production costs are limited. Usually, game creators cannot always afford to create photorealistic graphics and an expansive combination of story and gameplay. This usually leads to popular common denominators, such as retro art-style, and rogue-like gameplay, and Dungreed is one such example. The only difference now lies in the gameplay, does Dungreed have what it takes to get your attention?

This roguelike action platformer kicks ass! From the randomly generated dungeons to the fast and easy controls, Dungreed keeps you hooked with its easily addicting play loop. The narrative in Dungreed is simple yet satisfying. A dungeon has devoured a town, and it's your job to save the villagers and rebuild it. A pretty familiar plotline. However, the gameplay in Dungreed is pretty unique and addicting. There are no checkpoints in this game. Every time I died, I lost all my weapons and stats gained in my dungeon run and had to start at the beginning of the dungeon. This is where Dungreed hooked me in.

Played it om PC and really enjoyed it, saw it had been ported to mobile and got it as soon as I could, an amazing port to mobile. Best roguelite I've ever played, High difficulty ensuring you avoid being hit for the next boss fight but not so hard you give up, rewarding progression so each villager you rescue or skill point you invest feels like you make progress in your next run.
