1st CBT | Actionable Occupations——Soul Reaper Hela Character Design
As the design progresses, our graphic designer has completed a Warrior Class Costume for Hela's new class Soul Reaper.
The structure design of the costume is inspired by the armor design of the female warriors in the middle ages, including slender knee pads, wrist guards, and the neck. The costume has a short version and a long version based on the weight of the character's weapon. Besides ensuring the visual coordination, we can also keep consistent with the concept of "conservation of mass" that was mentioned in the previous article.
Compared with the light and elegant look of Assassin Class Shadow Dancer's costume, the warrior costume looks more refined and gorgeous. The former features divinity and the latter highlights humanity. According to our graphic designer, assassins are usually hermits with refined skills. This is the reason why they can assassinate their targets without people knowing. On the contrary, warriors have a strong sense of responsibility and they usually fight at the front line so they will need a hard shell that can protect them. A warrior's outfit should fit his position and personality. The stronger a warrior is, the more gorgeous his armor will be.
The main feature of this costume is the thin silk skirt that looks like the wings of a butterfly under the armor. During the battles, the color of the translucent skirt will change, adding multiple layers of different colors to the black.
Black is Hela's main tone and the achromatic color is a true display of mystery, indicating that Hela's identity is unknown to people just like the color black. The existence of the skirt implies that she may look weak but her background and power cannot be ignored.
