Prepare for War

Magistrate, an urgent report from the border has arrived! In the Northern Desert, where terrain is flat and open, enemy scouts have been seen. It is anticipated that their army is also on their way. In case of an open attack and a declaration of war, we must assemble our army and be prepared for the worst! A war is imminent and we must accept this fact as a nation.

Gather the people and horses, assemble your advisers, devise the strategy for war. There are many things to check for this effort. Do we have enough supplies in case some of our production centers get hit? Can we protect and move our civilian population out of harm's way in time? We can't fight well if we are starving, and without our horses and weapons, we will become nothing but fodder for our enemies. Let's prepare our Courier Stations for transporting resources and supplies to the frontlines! We must also organize the markets well so we are sufficiently supplied in proper times.

Our combat effectiveness relies heavily on our soldiers. We must set up a Conscription Office immediately and train our people to defend the nation. Under the guidance of our capable generals, our common folk have potential to take many responsibilities; infantry, archers, cavalry and artillery. We must have a balanced army on all fronts because capabilities of each brigade are different.

When your soldiers are ready, build down the roads from our barracks to their destination, watch them as they march towards our enemies and wreak havoc on our enemies. But be careful, if you push too fast and too deep into enemy territory, you might get surrounded and lose it all.

I hope we will succeed defending our nation and breaking our enemies' siege! Nevertheless, it is an honor to fight alongside you, Magistrate.
