KOF 2003 ACA NEOGEO - A Quick Game Review | Worth Playing?
King of Fighters KOF 2003 ACA NEOGEO is an amazing classic arcade 2D fighting mobile game with lots of unique characters with unique fighting styles and skill sets. King of fighter is a very popular fighting game series in various platforms and now its in mobile as well. I was pretty thrilled to be able to play this game in my mobile as this was one my favorite games when I was a kid. A lot of nostalgic feeling came rushing in while smashing the buttons to trigger special ability animations and fighting sequence in the game. If you are a lover of king of fighters game, then surely you will appreciate this game in your mobile phone.
As its s the 2003 version, the graphics is not that great. The character designs are definitely awesome but they seem a bit pixelated due to the outdated graphical rendering of this antique game. None the less, the characters are easily distinguishable with their unique look and great voiceovers. The story plot is pretty superb and its just like in the original series. A rush to get to the boss battle for the final story sequence is pretty thrilling indeed.
The controls feel a bit difficult in this game and it really requires a lot of practice to get used to it. I would have really appreciated the shortcut command features for the special and ultimate abilities of the characters in this game. Just one tap to execute the complicated abilities of the characters in the game. On the contrary, the unique control features are the main challenge and fun features as well for this kind of arcade fighting mobile games, which many fan players do appreciate.
There are lots of characters to select in this game. And you need a team of 3 fighters to fight enemies. But the choosing time limit is only 15 seconds which is pretty frustrating in this game. The devs should have at least extended the choosing time to 60 seconds! Anyways, we have got lots of characters with different fighting styles and abilities. Thus lots of gameplay styles will make anyone hooked to this game. My favorite character is RYO and I would have really appreciated to play with Mr. Karate in this game. How about you guys?
Overall, this game is definitely a classic masterpiece which travelled from previous times to this neo generation. Lots of fun characters to try out with unique skill combinations and fighting styles. Graphics are definitely poor and a bit pixelated but the gameplay experience and runtime is pretty smooth and enjoyable. Controls are hard but maybe you can master it in due time! This game is definitely a nostalgia for me and truly a great experience after such a long time! Definitely this game is "worth playing!" if you are a fan of fighting arcade mobile games, especially the KOF series.
