Imagine stepping into a party and being thrown immediately onto the dance floor with no clue what song is playing or what the moves are, and you've got Legendary Journey. A fun experience once you get passed the jarring introduction.
This game wastes no time getting you into the action, and I don't mean that in a good way. Pick an adventurer, pick a buddy, pick some moves... okay, now fight! I had no idea what was going on, but after the first ten minutes, I began getting the hang of it, and it was, shall I dare say, fun.
My buddy "Ice Girl" and I fought through endless levels, seeing how far we could get while building skills. No, Ice Girl wasn't an actual person, but a computer AI I selected when beginning to assist me while I battled through dungeons. Legendary Journey also does a good job with the variety of skills I could add to my character, but the sick beats were the real icing on the cake!
Each dungeon offered a variety of music that just highlighted my experience.
Killing my enemies to some epic death metal just seemed appropriate. Some aspects aren't complete yet, as the online function is in "beta" and wasn't available in my playthrough, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it changes the gameplay.
