#My2023Wishlist

Okay, hear me out. I don't technically have a diverse wishlist to play this year, but when Hollow Knight Silksong gets released. You can bet your Geo (Hollownest's currency) that I'll play it in a heartbeat.

The previous/current version of Hollow Knight was the unexpected game to blew everything out of the water during the year it was released. As it has a dark and melancholic theme that is ever present within its universe.

For a metroidvania that has hand drawn characters, enemies, and map it's amazing how a small group people with tight budget delivered such an amazing lore and world building.

Did I mentioned that the map is huge? Yes the map is HUGE! There are various environments that you can trek your way to, each biome has a unique set of enemies that can lead to numerous ways of dying.

Despite its cutesy gothic design, Hollow Knight has a tight and smooth gameplay and fighting animations. It provides various abilities of combat and movements respectively, with the addition of Charms. Players can spice up how they can fight their enemies.

With Hollow Knight Silksong, we can get to play a character that appeared on the previous game that played as a boss (cool right). She offers an entirely new gameplay mechanic which opens up new ways to enjoy the game. After its years of delayed releases due to financial and technical problems, I am happy that I'll finally get to play this game.
