I couldn't be happier that Battlefield Mobile is officially dead.
It was a slap in the face to Battlefield fans like myself as it did not provide anything whatsoever like the Battlefield experience.
Sadly Apex Legends mobile will be no more as of 1st May. Same day that COD Warzone Mobile launches so go figure. Now I played the hell out of Apex Legends mobile during it's lengthy beta. Loved it. But after launch the player counts dropped off and I found myself in bot filled servers. So I dropped it and played other stuff.
Ah well. EA killing off BF is cool. I liked what Apex Legends developer Lightspeed and Quantum did with Apex. They took a clever PC title and crammed it onto our phones, the sheer effort of that wins me over. Was it a 1:1 copy? No. But you gotta give them points for trying. I think COD Warzone Mobile sets the new benchmark for what's possible in recreating popular FPS games for the mobile platform. And with this announcement it's a huge relief for me as a Battlefield fan as these guys were never going to reach my current level of expectation, not after seeing COD Warzone Mobile and The Division and Valorant, yeah with that thought in mind I'm so glad BF Mobile is dead.
