Ultima Souls PROS and CONS. Is it Good?

Ultima Souls looks nice and boasts souls like gameplay, but there are some things that have to be said about the game. In this article we will talk about both good and bad sides of Ultima Souls so you can decide if this is the right game for you.

PROS

1. Nice graphics. Game looks nice, light and darkness effects are looking good too. Multiple enemy types, each with their unique attacks and you will need to counter them all

2. A lot of potential. If the game will be updated it might get rid of all the cons and be really cool. The main idea is nice, setting is fun and you already have loot. Just add store between the levels with some powerups, and let us have that gold collected saved up between levels.

CONS

1. Misleading gold and loot. Its ok for a platformer to lack progression mechanics, but if you collect gold, chests and other stuff during your playthrough we should be able to use them or at least get level report and leaderboard.

2. Controls. While overall controls arent that bad, the fact that you cant move and change size of the buttons is making it hard to properly jump and use right skills at the right time. Considering that you will have to block enemy attacks its essential.

3. Lack of checkpoints. I havent found any checkpoints so far, so if you die somewhere during the level, you will have to start anew.

Verdict. Is Ultima Souls good?

In a current state, its ok, but could be better. I was really surprised by the useless loot and the controls issues, but if those things would be out of the way it could be pretty decent platformer.
