Unique Puzzles and Peculiar Style. Samorost 3 Review.

I didnt expect that I will like this game, but I did. What got me were amazing puzzles, that I had to find solutions for myself. No hints, no guides, just curiosity and wits.

Samorost 3 have distinct look Amanita Design is known for and you can expect the same type of adventure, pretty bizarre but fun. It all starts with Samorost finding some musical instrument that fell from the sky and going for an exploration.

Gameplay

Initially I thought that we will be walking around out own planet and doing things, but soon I figured out that we are building spaceship. And yes, that will be spaceship made of the stuff we will find around, like plastic bottle, bathtub and using some plant as an engine.

So yes, as I was collecting those things I was pretty skeptical about all this, all until the moment I got to the puzzle I couldnt solve. The mushroom farmer card puzzle. It took me a while to realize that cards interact with each other and you have to match and evolve them. By the time I was done with this puzzle I was already in love with the game.

But I think most people will find game and graphics style interesting, it really isnt my cup of tea. But I should admit that it looks distinct and unique.

Another unique thing about the game, that it doesnt have any dialogues. Well you can interact with other characters and the world around you, but you wont see any letters. I think its a pretty cool idea.

Once I finished my spaceship I thought I am done, but I realized that its only a beginning and I have whole (ingame) universe to explore.

Conclusion

Samorost 3 is a good adventure game, and I can strongly recommend it to the people who like those kind of games, or looking for some interesting and unexpected puzzles.  Although make sure that you have patience, since game unfolds at a slow pace, dialogues are taking a while and unskippable, so if you are as impatient as me it will cause you some discomfort.
