Loop PROS and CONS. Is it Good?

Loop is a vibrant puzzle game with nice atmosphere and interesting puzzles. Does it have any drawbacks? Lets see.

In this article we will talk about both good and bad sides of Loop so you can decide if this is the right game for you.

PROS

1. Great atmosphere.

Straight from the start we dive into a story, going forward with our character made of light. Background ambient music and sound design makes it easy to feel the world inside the game and start feeling connected to the characters.

2. Smooth gameplay.

Levels are seamless, no stages no save points, you just continue your journey through the temple exploring it and saving it from the corruption. Every time you move to the next area you have that feeling "this is the last one" because of perfect amount of time required to finish one puzzle room. Story leaves you puzzled for answers what is happening and what will happen if you clear more of the game content.

3. Intuitive puzzles.

There is no tutorial and any type of explanation on how to solve the puzzles that are ahead of you, but as soon as you see the elements that you have to move around or step on you understand what to do.

CONS

1. Slow cutscenes.

Some animations and cutscenes are too slow for my taste and unskippable. I wish there would be a way to speed them up like 4x or skip if you press screen few times. Moving between areas is pretty slow too, but maybe its there to remove loading screen, so Im good with that.

2. Difficulty is too easy.

I do not consider myself pro at puzzle games, but here puzzles are pretty easy. Move blocks form point A to point B or step onto the highlighted area. Its not that bad, since I consider this game more of a journey with puzzles, than puzzle game with some story. And it allows to relax while playing instead of being focused on puzzles. So it might be a good thing.

Verdict. Is Loop Good?

Yes.

I would recommend Loop to people who like those kind of games or want to go through interesting captivating journey. Dont expect a lot of challenge from the game and just go with the flow and you will enjoy it.
