Congratulations! Myth: Gods of Asgard will fulfill your every wish! I’m your guiding angel, Veir, and today I will be talking about the bravest Valkyrie in Norse Mythology—Brynhild.

Character Intro

Brynhild is one of the Valkyries, and daughter of the Allfather, Odin. For disobeying the wishes of her father, Odin, she was sentenced to slumber and be confined in a castle in the Hindarfjall Alps. She was later rescued by the brave and kind young man Siegfried, which began their beautiful but tragic love story.

Character Overview

Brynhild is the first hero players obtain. Wielding the Spear of Einherjar, Brynhild possesses very high mobility due to her gorgeous and far-reaching displacement moves. With the help of her Dash skill, you can easily deal staggering burst damage on a single target. It is worth noting that though Brynhild is a melee hero, her survivability is relatively not great. One must cycle between her skills adeptly in order to avoid gaps in her attacks which could be exploited to damage her.

Character Specialties

Brynhild is the most mobile of the 5 heroes in the current version. Her displacement moves allow her to nimbly dodge any type of enemy attacks.

-     Her Normal Attack 1: Quick Strike, Powerful Skill 1: Relentless Assault, and Special Skill 1: Valiant Assault can grant an attack buff, drastically increasing her damage output.

-     Her Powerful attacks can grant damage a reduction buff, which allows her to attack at a rapid rate as well as take less damage from the enemy.

-     Special Skill 3: Phantom Attack can also summon Phantom Valkyries to deal extra damage to the enemy. You can summon even more Phantom Valkyries when this skill is upgraded. But do take note that Phantom Attack has a relatively long CD of 4.5s. You need to find the right timing to use this skill.

Playing in Actual Battles

Brynhild is a ferocious, proud, and unyielding Valkyrie. She is comparatively easy to use. Though her attack range is shorter than others, her mobility gives her an edge. With the right use of her skills, you can destroy any powerful opponent with her.

The first thing to take note of is that her normal attack is a four-attack combo. Her Normal Attack 2 [Fearless Charge] can stack Thunderclap Runes. And at 4 stacks, she can close in on the enemy quickly and deal damage equal to 235% Attack at the cost of 1 stack of Thunderclap Rune As Brynhild’s attack range has a certain limitation, using her Normal Attack 3 [Blow from Heaven] is also a viable option. When using [Blow from Heaven], her fourth attack [Heavenly Attack] can summon a Lv. 2 [Victory Banner] which will last for 2s and pull enemies into her attack range. She can directly cast the fourth attack again after using [Dash], thereby dealing massive burst damage in the blink of an eye.

Secondly, the CD of Brynhild’s Powerful attacks is not short. Powerful Skill 1 and 2 both have 1.5s CD, while Powerful Skill 3 [Relentless Strike] only has a relatively short CD of 0.8s. However, her Powerful Skill 2 [Heroic Throw] can move her backward on cast and increase damage reduction by 40%, drastically increasing her defense after attacking. Players who love melee combat must definitely give her a try!

Finally, casting [Dash] skill can reset theCD of Brynhild’s Special Skill 3 [Phantom Attack], allowing her to deal massive damage and summon at most 4 [Phantom Valkyries] to assist in battle. This special effect has no CD, which will absolutely become a huge favorite among players.

Divine Recommendations

When preparing cards for hero skills, in addition to matching with the hero specialties, we must also take note of the special effects that come with the active skill cards. When choosing passive skill cards, it's better to enhance the special effects of the active skill cards. For example, for Baldr’s [Light Beams] effect, choosing passive cards such as [Scary Nightmare] and [Radiant Light] that also have [Light Beams] effects can greatly boost your fighting capacity.

-    Powerful Attack:   When you choose Powerful Skill 1 [Relentless Assault], you can pair it with any card that offers support effects. For example, Frigg card can restore HP, while Valkyrie can decrease the opponent's Attack.

-     Special Attack:   When you choose Special Skill 1 [Valiant Assault], it’s recommended to use Sif or Heimdallr cards.
