Chrono Trigger meets Zelda in this charming but clunky RPG

Translate
Evoland 2 is an inventive RPG with witty dialogue and great retro-style visuals, but the awkward mobile controls detract from the overall experience. The touch screen controls aren't always responsive, which can be extremely frustrating when you're trying to fight off enemies or get through platforming segments.
It's a shame that the controls are so clunky, because the rest of the game is absolutely fantastic. Evoland 2 has a time travel storyline that takes you through the history of RPGs. As you progress through the game, the graphics and gameplay change, making Evoland 2 look like RPGs from different eras. There's a little bit of everything here, from classic turn-based gameplay to card battle segments.
The gameplay and visuals in Evoland 2 is constantly evolving, which keeps things interesting. If one segment didn't work for me, I just pushed on through to the next segment. The story is surprisingly interesting, and the game is filled with fun and playful dialogue. I really enjoyed talking to NPCs and seeing what they had to say!
While Evoland 2's touchscreen controls are difficult to deal with, the Android and iOS versions of the game both offer control support. If you can play it with a controller, this is a unique RPG experience you won't want to miss! It's still worth checking out without a controller, but prepare to be frustrated by the controls from time to time.
