The latest Bloodhaven update hits Goose Goose Duck and it's not only spooky but really fun too

It’s time to get really spooky with the latest Goose Goose Duck patch. This patch introduces a brand new map called Bloodhaven that features two new mechanics for players to learn, as well as five roles to pick up. The map is quite big too, with it featuring eight locations for survivors to explore and do tasks in. After playing for nearly two hours, I’ve had such a blast and have really enjoyed exploring the map and learning the new mechanics.
To start, the first mechanic is a day and night cycle that affects players’ appearances, as well as the environment itself. During the day, players appear normally, but when night falls, the entire map and everything in it starts to look demonic. At night, every player will transform into a demon, but only the killers will be able to see each other’s name tags. This mechanic means that the survivors cannot identify each other, which provides the killers with the anonymity to kill other players without revealing themselves.
The second mechanic is corruption which causes these demonic transformations. At night, each player’s corruption meter will fill to the top, transforming them into demons. However, there are green corrupted items littered across the map that can cause a player to become fully corrupted even during the day. The only way to get rid of corruption as a survivor is to do three tasks in the game. That said, some roles like the Demon Hunter thrive on corruption.
Alongside the Demon Hunter, there are four other roles that players can pick up at the start of each match. These roles are the Inquisitor, Initiate, High Priest, and The Crow. The Demon Hunter can kill once each time when they’re corrupted, while the Inquisitor can detect corruption. As the Inquisitor, killers will appear corrupted too.
For the Initiate and High Priest, these killers use corruption to their advantage. The Initiate can conduct rituals on bodies during the day to generate corruption. And the High Priest can collect corruption to kill during meetings by correctly guessing roles. Both the Initiate and High Priest can kill players normally too. Lastly, The Crow is a neutral role with the ability to corrupt every player in sight and when they've corrupted enough players, they'll transform into a large crow that can kill anything in its path.
So far, I've only played The Crow, High Priest, and Demon Hunter, but I've had a lot of fun with this patch. Compared to the other maps, Bloodhaven is a lot more complex, challenging, and enjoyable because of the new mechanics. I had to think harder and be more mindful of my corruption meter while playing or I'd eventually die or watch someone else perish in front of me. As a killer, it's also really fun to get away with murder, especially when there's a group of people at the scene. This update has been so much fun and I can't wait to play some more tonight. The Bloodhaven update is currently available and players can hop right into Goose Goose Duck to try out the new map now.
💬 Have you played Goose Goose Duck yet? If so, out of the five new roles, which one do you think is the most interesting?
