Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is the perfect time to jump into the Trine series

The Trine series has only recently been on my radar. This is admittedly a huge lapse in my gamer knowledge, as we’re now at the fifth title since the initial release in 2009, and the series has everything I love. I mean, it’s medieval fantasy, environmental puzzles, and combat all rolled into one. There really isn’t much to hate, as far as I’m concerned.
With the Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy announcement trailer a few months back, it’s a perfect time to finally see what this series has to offer. I’m genuinely excited to dive in and experience the character dynamic between Amadeus the Wizard, Zoya the Thief, and Pontius the Knight, and with an online co-op mode, I might check this out just to do some puzzles with my buddies.
A brand new trailer has just been revealed, too, featuring the introduction of Zoya the Thief as a playable character. Okay, sure, I’m just now learning who exactly that is but watching her swing from platform to platform while wearing garb straight out of Assassin’s Creed is enough to get anyone hyped. Check out the latest trailer below:
Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy will be released on August 31st for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. As someone who’s been missing out on the magic of the Trine series, the fanfare around the latest installment makes me happy to join in on the adventure.
