Mortal Kombat's new audio descriptions will give everyone a chance to fight to the death

"As the cryogenic beam engulfs Scorpion in an unrelenting grip of ice Sub-Zero delivers a powerful sidekick to Scorpion’s torso, shattering him into countless icy shards." Imagine hearing this as you deliver a fatality to finish off your opponent in the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1.

In the history of Mortal Kombat, this description of one being broken like glass is undoubtedly one of the less violent In the series, and yet when it's read aloud, it certainly takes on a more gruesome element. Well, someone must have noticed this and included fully descriptive audio in the upcoming release, and if you doubt that narration can add an extra layer of brutality, look at the awesome video below.

Not only does this make Mortal Kombat 1 more accessible for the visually impaired, but it essentially makes this the audiobook we never knew we wanted but definitely deserved! I can only imagine how much fun the writers had writing as many gory descriptions as possible! It seems like Mortal Kombat 1 is already starting the reboot right by making this game as accessible to as many people as possible. It's a trend I hope to see in other series, especially the ones with huge AAA budgets. Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on September 19 for PS5, Switch,  Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
