Goddess of Shadow Heroic Backstory of Helmwige

Helmwige, the god-king who holds dominion over the oceans, is known as the "God of the Sea." His emblem is the trident, a weapon of deep sea blue, and he is often surrounded by aquatic serpents. Helmwige has always considered himself the most charismatic of the gods, finding allure in his own disheveled appearance.

Like the sea, Helmwige's temperament is as changeable as the tides. He can be calm and serene, or he can rage like a tempest, his emotions shifting unpredictably.

Legend speaks of a great battle between Helmwige and the goddess of wisdom, Athena. It is said that Athena cursed the once-angelic Medusa, causing anyone who gazed upon her to turn to stone. This led Medusa to flee the divine realm, disappearing into obscurity. The aftermath of this conflict caused humans residing by the coast to suffer from devastating tsunamis. However, the power of the gods was evenly matched, and Helmwige himself had to intervene to halt the war. It was during this time that Helmwige's enmity with Athena deepened.
