SHOULD I PLAY THE DIVISION RESURGENCE?
Play it, especially if you like open-world games. Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence offers a refreshing dive into the Tom Clancy’s The Division franchise. While it’s not as pretty as the other games in the series, The Division Resurgence brings an exhilarating shooter experience to mobile with an incredibly vast world to explore.
TIME PLAYED
I played The Division Resurgence for four hours. I managed to reach account level 12 and I’ve finished nearly two dozen missions. I’ve made it past the prologue and early story quests and done a handful of activities like securing supplies and dark zone skirmishes already.
WHAT’S AWESOME ABOUT THE DIVISION RESURGENCE
• Exploring New York City and doing activities. The Division Resurgence is a good example of how simple runnin’ gunnin’ action can be elevated to greater heights with a bigger, more intricate battlefield. The game’s urban open-world—a slice of New York City similar to the original game’s—is one of the largest maps I’ve seen in a mobile shooter. The simplicity of exploring this map and all of its corners and crevices while searching for loot and activities to do has given me more joy than anything else in this game.
• Shooting bad people. While exploring this vast world, I got to take down rebel soldiers, flamethrowing cultists, and snipers. Ducking behind cover and shooting enemies with assault rifles and marksman snipers was naturally enjoyable. I was always met with a new obstacle I needed to overcome and this constant supply of challenge and fun kept this experience engaging.
• Customization and upgrading. Customization and upgrading serves as a huge part in this game—it’s basically what keeps the wheel rolling. I got to customize my character, weapon and gear loadout, abilities and skill tree, and even my personal attire. There was always something to upgrade or replace which kept things feeling fresh.
• Controller support. For a game in beta, I was surprised to find how well it integrated and supported controller gameplay. I could connect my Xbox controller to my phone and play The Division Resurgence with no major issues.
WHAT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT IN THE DIVISION RESURGENCE
• It’s still a work in progress. Beta tests aren’t supposed to be perfect, but I still expected more from Ubisoft in the visual department. Besides the story cutscenes, almost everything in the game looks outdated and unpolished, even on high graphic settings. Characters look unnatural and most of the environment lacks heavy detail. Hopefully when the game officially launches it’ll look better and more modern because this current version of The Division Resurgence doesn’t hold a candle to the other games in the franchise.
• Throwing grenades and traps. It’s hard to accurately throw grenades or poison traps because the aiming trajectory is a little finicky when moving around. It takes a lot of time and precision to perfectly throw a grenade in the right spot, especially when there are so many obstacles, buildings, and enemies around.

the screen overheating is a big issue, it wasn't as bad in the summer test but in the one in December 2022 it was really bad and i feel like this time around it's just as bad.

I installed it through taptap, you'll probably need a vpn to play set to Australia server, I used thunder vpn as it has the required servers, just expect unstable connection depending on where you are located.
