PC to Mobile! But How OG-Like & Good is the Gameplay? Risk of Rain: Hostile Worlds CBT Review!

Translate
Risk of Rain: Hostile Worlds is the franchise’s first foray onto mobile devices everywhere, using a much more simplified formula compared to the diverse, 3D rogue-like experience that was Risk of Rain 2.
Risk of Rain: Hostile Worlds’s formula is simple. You assemble your squad of three characters and take on increasingly difficult swathes of foes to get a chance at better random loot drops to drip out your team as you complete the mission given for the stage. It's a simple yet addicting formula that keeps you playing.
The game, in its core, keeps most of what the original rogue-like feature of the Risk of Rain games was built upon. However, Hostile Worlds now takes this formula and adds it into a story-focused campaign mode where you will complete objectives to clear the stage and continue on with the story.
Unlike the console/PC version of Risk of Rain where characters are unlocked by achievements, Risk of Rain: Hostile Worlds is a gacha game where you will need to unlock different characters through the gacha system by obtaining character shards.
Each character will have their own levels you will have to upgrade and different equipment and gadgets that can be put on to boost their stats. You are also able to rank up each character once you obtain enough character shards which will give them a flat boost to their overall stats.
I know that the gacha system, auto-firing, and different features within this mobile version of Risk of Rain may be a bit of a let down for some players. However, I think that Risk of Rain: Hostile Worlds did a good job in bringing the core aspects of the original game to a handheld-package while being unique on its own. With that, I would like to give the game a rating of 7/10 for this review.

I have Risk of Rain returns and Risk of Rain 2. the mobile version is horribly trash. they didn't even try to make a good game. it feels like a rated pg 13 copy/paste of game's that previously came out already when Risk of Rain is unique and stands out
