👍 Pros: This game is a real wet dream for any classic Harvest Moon game. Especially Back to Nature player. It has almost anything that they're dreamed for a long long time!
👎 Cons: Grew up with Harvest Moon, so I can't fit with western pixelated character portrait design. Luckily, it can be modded easily. There are so many fanmade character portraits out there.
🎮 Gameplay: Stardew Valley is not farming only games. You can also live as fisherman or dungeon adventurer. It can be both Harvest Moon, and Rune Factory at the same time. It satisfying player in many way.
You have a freedom to costumize farm layout. There are thousands of design inspiration from Google or Pinterest if you're overwhelmed.
You have so many thing to collect for fun. And so many more to explore..
📖 Storyline: Story are open ended. It also has so many secret and easter eggs. Even their character relationships theory and myth still a thing in SV forum today.. Some story path can determine how things are going, like a Joja Mart story.
This game took my life like a hundred hours, and it's worth it. Never regret. I don't think I can enjoy another farming games after Stardew Valley. Because as Back to Nature player, my biggest dream is full filed already by this masterpiece.
