What are some good Co-Op games for a 50 plus year old man who doesn't really play video games?

He has a PlayStation 4. He doesn't know how to utilize two sticks for moving and looking. Shooters are out of the question, racing games are good, kart racers are even better, 2d fighting games and beat em ups are excellent. I'd like to introduce him to using the right analog stick in addition to the left stick maybe Stardew valley?

I'd take a look at some side-scrollers and see if anything looks interesting. Maybe Rayman Legends? If he's not into that, maybe try something like For the King

I suppose Stardew Valley is a little too slow? If not, then that's a great co-op game.
