The Evolution of a Gamer: A 20-Year Journey Through Virtual Reality
As I sit down to reflect on my gaming journey, I'm taken back to a time when the world of virtual reality was still in its infancy. I was just 5 years old, wide-eyed and fascinated by the endless possibilities that lay before me. My trusty Saga cassette console was my gateway to a world of adventure, action, and excitement. Little did I know that this was just the beginning of a lifelong passion that would span two decades.
Fast forward to the present, and I'm now 25 years old, still hooked on the thrill of gaming. My tastes have evolved, but my love for the diverse world of virtual reality remains unwavering. Over the years, I've had the privilege of experiencing some of the most iconic games that have shaped the industry.
First-Person Shooters: My First Love
My introduction to first-person shooters (FPS) was a defining moment in my gaming journey. The rush of adrenaline, the precision, and the strategy required to take down enemies – it was an instant addiction. Games like Call of Duty, with their fast-paced action and immersive storylines, quickly became my go-to. The thrill of competition, the camaraderie with fellow gamers, and the satisfaction of emerging victorious made FPS games an integral part of my gaming DNA.
The Rise of Battle Royale
But then, a new genre emerged, and my gaming world was turned upside down. Battle Royale games like Fortnite and Apex Legends revolutionized the way I played. The concept of dropping onto a map with up to 99 other players, scavenging for resources, and fighting to be the last one standing was both exhilarating and terrifying. The unpredictability, the strategy, and the sheer scale of these games drew me in, and I was hooked.
Slash and Dash: The Devil May Cry Effect
However, my love for gaming isn't limited to just FPS and Battle Royale. I have a soft spot for action-packed games .. 🎮 🙂
