First of all it's Pokémon! The real Pokémon and not just a ridiclious clone! And this was the main reason why I decided to play this game and not just give it a try.
After all I can say it's not well balanced and your mates might be 10 years old or younger. Which doesn't mean the worst but probably could be the worst!
For example.
Strong enemys with imbalanced Charackters, teaming up! and smash you 10 minuets long into the ground!
If it sounds challenging to you then go on! Choose your imbalanced Charackter and pick up the fight! But pick certain meta Charackter! Or at less make sure you teaming with one of those.
I will mention later which Pokémon should be a much have! And which are fun to play.
👍 Pros: - it's licensed and officially from Nintendo. What come with great benefits like (usually patches, hotfixes and so on since years!) and some disadvantages (for example exclusive {ugly} Charackters / {ugly} Skins)
👎 Cons: Few Pokémon are imbalanced
Skins are rare and mostly looks ridiclious!
🎮 Gameplay: I didn't try all Pokémon so far but those I played was different from gameplay. Of course you play a brawler different then a dps or a mage. But all have the same issue stun>slow>blink. If your Pokémon have one of those or even all 3 of them it's a high meta Pokémon.
For example gengar
A other Technik to survive is a high regeneration or dmg protection.
For example Mr. Mime
Other Pokémon I can recommend are
Scyther(Scizor) , Gyarados, Miraidon, Metagross, Meowscarada, Mewtwo, Goodra, Tyranitar, Mew, Delphox, Azumaril, Dragonite, Charizard, Lucario, Absol, all evolves of evoli.
