COD WARZONE MOBILE! Let's analyze.... 🧐
I'd played COD warzone even before the global release when it was in it's beta stage. At that time I'd faced one major issue which is the resolution. It was really bad, it was indeed streaming at 144p(It literally felt like I'm playing some PS2 game). At that time I assumed this issue's because it's in beta version or my device is not capable enough to run this game at higher graphics. Later I see there were many people complaining about the same issue even after the global release, added with the extreme device heating and battery draining issues which I didn't face when I played the beta version. So I was just waiting that they'll improve this game over time and I didn't install this.
Now, I felt like I should be giving it a try. But even after these many months, I see the resolution is "slightly" Better than that in beta version. And upon setting everything to high (except the visual quality which is capped to the lowest setting), I get around 30-35FPS, Which is not great for that resolution.
One thing I noticed is, if you ignore the resolution and focus on the visual effects, even at the lowest setting, it's pretty decent(You can check it in the photos attached in this post). There is an extreme attention paid to even smallest of the smallest details, like the vehicle physics, parachuting physics, etc. Not just that, The sound effects are really really good. But again with that resolution it's all practically useless.
Now coming over to the device heat, I played 4 battle royales and 1 TDM, And let me be honest, My device heated just like how it would normally heat. I didn't see any "excessive" heating. Yes the battery drains comparatively faster while playing when compared to that while playing other games.
Now I've played 5 matches in total, And the loading screen says, Play more to unlock better visual details, Which I assume is referring to the resolution. Atleast by looking at that picture (Last pic in this post) I assume they mean to say I need to play more to unlock better resolution. But even after playing 5 matches, I don't see any improvement in the resolution.
So what I feel is, They should just lower the visual quality, the lighting effects(atleast for the low graphic settings) and offer a better resolution and FPS, just like how PUBG mobile does.This game will turn out to be one of the best battle royale experience if they do so. So I'm gonna trust the process and I won't mind waiting for some more time. But as of now it's barely playable.
