Destiny Rising: Bungie's Next Big Leap Onto Mobile Gaming
'Destiny Rising' seems to be the newest edition to the Destiny game series, it remains in development despite Bungie's recent layoffs and other project cancellations. The game is being developed by NetEase, in partnership with Bungie. Initially reported in 2022, rumours have been reignited by insuders such as Jeff Grubb and Kurakasis, who have confirmed that the project has not been shelved.
Unlike Destiny 2, Destiny Rising has been reported to focus on 'Hero Characters' rather than customisable Guardians. This hints at a shift in gameplay to suit mobile platforms.
While Bungie have not officially confirmed the game, insiders have speculated an announcement to come soon, as the project has been in development for over 4 years. However, until Bungie releases more details into the game, all information should be treated with caution.
