Devils Be Dead: A High-Octane FPS Experience
Devils Be Dead: If you are a ‘tough’ games maniac who prefers first-person shooters, Rise of Demons will provide you with nice ‘arcade virginity’ in an FPS style. This game is fluid in its gameplay and boasts rather realistic graphics so it can be considered a good and worthy representative of the mobile FPS genre for those who enjoy demon hunting.
Devils Be Dead’s most fruitful mechanic is weapons and possible choices in their modification. It is possible to choose from pistols, shotguns, rocket launchers and many other available weapons where each weapon has its unique strengths and strategies. This upgrade system let the player increase firepower, rate of fire and damage radius, meaning that the engines allow the player to match the weapon to his/her style. This provides a certain level of strategy to the game and especially when fighting the bosses of the game as a player needs to plan on his/her attacks.
From the graphics point of view, the game is well developed. The demons are well-realised which goes in tandem with the quality of the environments which helps in providing a better understanding of the game. The sequences of the fight with the enemies can be spectacular, especially when they involve the usage of more powerful weapons; each fight is passionate and rewarding.
On the negative side though, what may clearly be felt by the reader is that at times, Devils Be Dead appears monotonous. Despite the fact that the action figures are vibrant, the levels’ landscapes are quite alike, and the opponent intelligence is not very high. After some hours of the game, you might begin to have that feeling that the fights are becoming predictable or routine because at some point the game does not introduce new challenge.
In summary, Devils Be Dead: ‘Rise of Demons’ is a rather decent addition to the mobile FPS genre. It’s an action game with weapon customisations that are fun to make, but because it mostly boils down to shooting things in the face, it can get a tad boring for the more critical gamers. Nonetheless, for the lovers of FPS games this demon-slaying action is worthy to be played at least for those who likes to improve their gun and kill numerous opponents.
