Mindustry: A Thrilling Blend of Strategy and Action

Translate
Mindustry is an exciting Action, Strategy, and Tower Defence game that would be appealing to those players who like games that tickle the grey matter and require strategising and materials managing abilities. The game looks very exciting with the combination of building your base, collecting resources and defending against hordes of attacking enemies making it ideal for those looking for a balanced action packed game.
Another key aspect of Mindustry is the rock bottom layer of the resource management system. The resource has to be gathered from the mining sites, conveyors must be built to transport it and to form a large production line for the base. This makes it not your regular tower defense game because you have to consider more variables than in a regular tower defense game, which feels more like a real time strategy game where your every move affects the battle. The integration of product manufacturing, electric power supply, and national defense is exciting and challenging.
The controls are rather simple and well explained, however the overall game gets progressively difficult, and presents more enemies and waves, as well as involve more complex resources. This makes sure that the players find the gameplay interesting and not boring repeating the same thing over and over again. The work is systematic; you get to improve on your defenses and find better ways on how to tackle your resources.
Cosmetically, Mindustry uses pixel art with bright colors and clear outlines, which IMHO are somewhat nostalgic and serve the purpose of making distinguishable units, structures, and resources. The controls are easy to learn, and the organization of the screen layout is effective, allowing even newbies and fans of unfounded experiments to jump right into the experience.
The main novelty of Mindustry is presumably cooperative multiplayer, in which you can cooperate with other players and build your base. This brings the social aspect, and teamwork making it more fun to have to do some of these exercises. In a nutshell, I would like to strongly recommend this game to anyone involved in strategy genre and who would like to combine action and resource management.
