Knowing what I was walking into my previous fond experience of Journey I was hoping to rekindle the flame that had long been extinguished. I failed to do so. While the world is one of the most beautiful experiences I have had on a mobile device, it was unable to keep my interest for more than the few hours I spent with it. It is a game with systems that were too opaque for me to be able to pop in and out of the experience. That is not to say that the game is bad by any means, rather, that it does not appeal to what I look for in a game.
