Like most auto-battle games, Super Auto Pets' gameplay is quite simple to do and easy to understand. Players build a team of animals, upgrade them if they have the necessary upgrades, and battle other players. Nice and simple. However, I felt that the game was a bit too simple for my taste, but it's not bad overall. Planning out your team, who goes first, which ones to give an upgrade or which upgrade to give is where most of the strategy happens. Oh, and bomb hedgehogs are the best!

Sometimes I never get a crab, and all of my opponents have 15/15 dogs followed by a crab with meat or a high attack dodo behind the crab. The worst one was when my opponent had three lvl 1 crabs following behind a huge dog, sure as hell never made out of that one alive. Other times your opponent would have a lvl 2 bat that lands an infection on your largest pet and then your opponent's pet with a meat makes a very favorable trade. Do not get me started with teams that are composed of a kangaroo behind an oxe behind a whale behind a spider. These are the worst.
