PLAY IT OR SKIP IT?
Play it, unless you’re not a fan of text-heavy games. Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo hooked me right from the start, and its hold on me was so deep that I stayed up until 4 a.m. to finish the game. Games like this live or die on the quality of their writing, and Paranormasight hit it out of the park here. I rarely replay story-driven games, but this is a title I can see myself going back to every few years.

Usually, horror games like these have a bit of culture instilled into them, which can make you curious as to why the occurrences in the game happen.
If you are a fan of one heck of a horror storyline, this may be worth the shot since it covers the ancient culture of some cult or something. I'm not a total fan of the animations, but the storyline is what I sought.
Definitely, something that would make your mind ask WHY

I appreciate horror games where you have to follow a storyline to uncover different mysteries about a particular event in the game.
The game entails a guy and a girl who talks about ancient folklore from their town, and we have to discover what lies underneath it while holding on to a curse which we need to break.
This might be a bit expensive for some, but since it has a good, well-known developer making the game, it would explain why.
More on the storyline rather than the usual jump scares we expect in a horror game.

There is really nothing scarier than the horror games or movies that come from Japan.
I kinda have expectations on how the horror will come up, but it doesn't really go on par with the games I played that are really creeping through your spine.
I am intrigued though by how the lore of the game unfolds, which makes me want to play through to get my answers. But looking at the overall presentation of the game, it is a bit more expensive than the gameplay it offers.
