The game follows a week in the life of the Zombie Unit, an elite Hong Kong police squad on a mission to uncover a major corporate conspiracy. Play as Lt. Hannah Stone, a hardboiled Hong Kong cop, and plow through mercenaries, gang members, and private military contractors in a spectacular cyberpunk adventure. The game is best experienced with a controller for fluid combos and intuitive combat. Hack-n-slash melee combat: Unleash a wide array of deadly moves and unique finishers to slice and dice. Third-person shooter: Engage in intense battles using a handpicked assortment of projectile weapons, including assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, and grenade launchers. Brutal finishers: Over 50 unique finishing moves. Cyberpunk setting: Experience a wild fusion of high-tech weaponry and retro 90s futurism. Gripping storyline: Join the Zombie Unit as they unravel a massive corporate conspiracy in a dystopian version of Hong Kong. Truly hardcore experience: The fights will be challenging. If there’s one thing you should know about all of us over at TapTap, it’s that we love video games. But if there’s a second thing you should know, it’s that...sometimes we hate video games. Okay, maybe hate is a strong word, but we try out every game we can get our hands on here, and some of those titles inevitably really disappoint us.

PLAY IT OR SKIP IT?
Skip it. Wanted: Dead advertises itself as from the makers of Ninja Gaiden, but don’t fool yourself into thinking that means it will have the tightly designed gameplay of that legendary series. Instead, this game offers a messy blend of ninja action and third-person shooter that never gels together into something cohesive. And layered on top of it all is one of the most egregious examples of bad video game writing paired with even worse voice acting that I’ve seen since the days of the original Xbox. Wanted: Dead, we’ve all seen this type of game before: A hack-n-slash and shooter hybrid — Devil May Cry is a touchstone example of this, — as well as most shooter games that have some form of melee combat baked in, but still, it's refreshing to see newcomers in the hack and slash shooter hybrid genre.
