Tron: Identity

If there’s one thing you should know about all of us over at TapTap, it’s that we love video games. But if there’s a second thing you should know, it’s that...sometimes we hate video games. Okay, maybe hate is a strong word, but we try out every game we can get our hands on here, and some of those titles inevitably really disappoint us. Between all of the staff members here at TapTap, we’ve played hundreds of new releases in the first half of 2023, many of which have been amazing. We're not here today to talk about the good games though. No, today we’re taking a look back at the worst games we’ve played so far this year.

PLAY IT OR SKIP IT Skip it unless you’re a diehard Tron fan. People with limited Tron knowledge should be able to follow the plot of Tron: Identity, but this visual novel doesn’t have much to offer outside of expanded lore and worldbuilding. There’s some light gameplay, but it’s a basic matching puzzle game that isn’t particularly exciting. It’s a competently made game, but it doesn’t hold a candle to

Tron: Identity is a visual novel adventure game set in the world of Tron, where players play in the role of Query, a detective program tasked to investigate a mysterious situation. 🟩Pros +amazing interactive storytelling +choices matter and branching out story for replayability +a dedicated game mode for the puzzle element +lots of accessibility options: skip puzzles, increase UI text, etc. 🟥Cons -very, very short
