I’ve always found climbing mechanics to be a tricky feature. When done poorly, the controls can feel overly complex and downright stressful. Wow, 2023 was overwhelming when it comes to great games. Our official TapTap Game of the Year 2023 list could only fit so many entries—ten, to be exact—so this week each of the editors on TapTap's North American team will be posting our personal picks as well. Starting with me!
One caveat: Because so many awesome games were released this year, there are some that I haven't had the chance to play yet but I'm fairly confident would make my list if I had. For example, I haven't even started Baldur's Gate 3. I know, I know! I'm hoping to play it over the holidays! But since I haven't touched it yet, I kept it off my personal list...for now.
